An invitation to Church
Many will call church services outdated, and tell you it is just a place to build friendships, but I am convinced it is actually the place where people are most likely to develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Sunday morning sermons and Sunday school can touch the power of God’s love and His grace
That means we should be turning Sunday school classes and worship services into evangelism outreach centers. This should be our mind set as we work on growing Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. We have to be willing to invite people to worship, and Sunday school. These are two of the places most appropriate to get that message out.
Church health leaders say: “that unchurched people indicates the major reason they don’t attend worship services is that they are not invited.
As a church, we keep looking for the secret to pull people into church. It is as simple as an invitation. We have been ignoring the one thing that could turn Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church around because we somehow have the notion that it takes a lot of work to invite people to church. We need to readily accept the challenge to bring our friends and family to church. We should be excited about including our friends in God’s plans.
We need to remember nothing good happens without God’s blessing. We must be intent on praying first; everything else is secondary.
